Lund

Lund buses are color-coded. The yellow ones serve regional trips, but are now rarely seen in the center. The green city buses (stadsbussar) are the ones you are most likely to encounter as you move around the city.
There are seven main city bus lines (numbered 1–6 and 9), which run in a counter-clockwise loop around the old city center.
The easiest way to plan a trip in Lund is to go to the Skånetrafiken website.
If you are traveling with a smartphone and have a Swedish SIM card (or a decent data plan from your country), your best option is to use the Skånetrafiken app to plan trips from the nearest stop. Register your phone number via text message, and you can also pay for trips on your phone using a credit card. The English language is also better in the app.
The buses in Lund are operated by Skånetrafiken.
The easiest way to buy a ticket for Lund buses is to use one of the machines at the train station. Both cash and cards are accepted.
The second option: get a prepaid Jojo card. At the Skånetrafiken office mentioned above, as well as 7-Eleven and Pressbyrån branches in Lund, you can get a Jojo card with credit for use on Skånetrafiken buses and trains throughout the region. The cheapest option is the Jojo Mini card for SEK 70, which already has SEK 50 in travel credit – enough for two trips around the city. You can top up the card at any time.
The best option: use an app. Download the Skånetrafiken app on smartphone, register your mobile number, and then buy tickets for individual trips with a credit card. The ticket will be saved on your phone, but you will need to activate it before boarding the bus for it to be valid.
With the Skånetrafiken app you can:
- Buy all types of tickets, including: Single, 24-hours, 30-days, Flex 10/30 and more.
- Pay with Swish, card (Mastercard or Visa), or invoice from Swedbank Pay. You can also get email receipts of your purchases.
- Find the quickest route on a map, and view the entire journey from door to door.
- Create shortcuts (favorites) on the front screen for your most common journeys.
- Receive information about ongoing disruptions affecting traffic, or journeys.
