Train
Trains in Lithuania are mainly operated by LGT Link. Vilnius Railway Station is the largest station in the country and the main hub for rail traffic.
The Lithuanian Railway Map shows all the routes operated by the Lithuanian company LGT Link. All tickets for the indicated routes can be purchased on the company's website, in the mobile application, at the ticket offices.

In order to buy a ticket, you need to find the departure point and arrival point on the map that you see. The program will determine the best route for you and offer several tickets to choose from. The ticket price will differ depending on the package of services along the route and the class of the carriage. If you have a season ticket, you should remember that you will probably need to reserve a seat in case there are many passengers.
All of the above also applies to departure and arrival points located outside of Lithuania, such as Riga, Krakow, etc.

So sometimes the trip may seem long. That is why express bus routes were created. They have a network of rare stops and mostly run on expressways. Transport your bike on a bus
Travel on intercity buses and transport your bike comfortably and for free! The number of places for transporting bicycles on local buses is limited.
Buses carrying bicycles are marked with a bicycle symbol.
The bus driver will be grateful if you help to install your bike.
Bikes transported on a bus must be clean.
Buses do not carry electric, motor, tricycles, BMX bikes.

VILNIUS

e. tickets can be purchased and topped up to the Vilniečio ( ) or JUDU ( ) card, by the phone using “m.Ticket“, “Trafi” app. You can also purchase a 60–minute ticket using your contactless payment card at the validator in the vehicle.
Tickets are valid on all buses and trolleybuses throughout the specified time.

There is always an option to purchase a ticket with your card for €0,90 on the bus.
E-Ticket is available - electronic card "Vilniečio kortelė". The Vilniečio kortelė is credited with the appropriate amount of money and/or selected tickets for public transport. With a valid ticket on the card, properly activated in public transport, you can change public transport for free and an unlimited number of times, if necessary. A new Vilniečio kortelė costs €1.5.

To check how much time is left on the purchased ticket, simply tap the contactless payment card on the validator again.
Tickets can be purchased with both physical contactless cards and through Google Pay/Apple Pay by tapping your phone, watch, or other device on the validator.
To purchase a short-term ticket for public transport, you can use the following contactless cards: Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, Visa Electron with a validator indicator.

KAUNAS

PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN KAUNAS
Kaunas has an extensive network of buses and trolleybuses.
Two types of tickets are available:
- single-use paper ticket
- electronic ticket
Payment for travel on public transport in Kaunas is made using the contactless electronic ticket system Ziogas Card. This Smart card can be purchased at newsstands or in places marked with a special sign "Kauno Viešasis Transportas" KVT - Kaunas public transport.

Prices
The most useful option for topping up your smart card is a €0.70 ticket for any length of journey, which can be taken on two different vehicles, as long as you change to the second bus or trolleybus within the first 30 minutes of validating the card. A useful three-day ticket is also available for €5.50.

Citizens of Kaunas who have declared their place of residence in the city of Kaunas continuously for at least one year and are:
- aged 80 and over;
- Defenders of the independence of the Republic of Lithuania, victims of the 1991 January 11-13 and then the aggressions of the USSR;
- resistance 1940-1990 participants in occupations;
- from 1939-1990 persons affected by occupations: political prisoners, exiles and persons equivalent to them, repressed persons, displaced persons and persons affected in other ways by occupations who have reached retirement age;
- persons of retirement age receiving welfare pension* .
Bus to the Kaunas International Airport: Bus No. 29 runs regularly from the airport terminal to the city centre. The bus from Kaunas Airport departs every day only after the last plane has landed. A ticket for 1 euro can be bought from a driver.

Panevėžys Smart Card for eTickets

The price of the Panevėžys E-ticket card is 2.00 EUR. The card can be topped up with e-money and e-tickets. The card can be purchased and topped up at city newspaper kiosks, online, and in a mobile application.

Such a ticket is called a "Friend's Ticket", the price of which is equal to the standard price of a single ticket. In order to purchase a "Friend's Ticket", the passenger must first mark his ticket, and then select "Friend's Ticket", and if the e-mail address in the wallet has a sufficient balance, the passenger purchases a "Friend's Ticket" - the procedure is completed by touching the card again to withdraw the appropriate amount of money from the e-mail.
